Mirah Investment & Development are delighted to announce that Michele Meoni has joined the team as the General Manager of Secana Beachtown.
Michele brings his rooted passion for quality & customer satisfaction, as well as his 28 years of experience within the hospitality industry in senior hotel management positions, to the upcoming lifestyle residences.
The highly anticipated Secana Beachtown is located in Bali’s most popular beachfront neighbourhood, Berawa, Canggu – featuring 58 private-pool villas, 32 loft-apartments, a rooftop pool & bar, two restaurants, and incredible facilities such as a spa, a gym, a co-working space and much more. This unique lifestyle concept is set to bring an entire new level of exclusive hospitality to the shores of Berawa.
Originally hailing from Italy, the industry veteran began his hospitality career in 1993 at the Grosvenor House, London (now JW Marriot). This sparked a successful 28-year-long career working with international 5-star brands across Europe, North Africa, and Asia.
Notable establishments include; The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel London, Domina Coral Bay Resort & Casino Egypt (the largest resort of the Red Sea), Chief Operating Officer of Continentals Hotels SA Romania, overseeing operations of 14 hotels; and within Indonesia, Swiss-Belhotel Balikpapan, Rich Palace Hotel and SoASIA Hospitality.
Most recently, Michele led the opening of the 5-star Inaya Bay Komodo of Hotels Indonesia Group in Labuan Bajo – a flagship resort, and central tenant to the Central Indonesian Government’s effort of placing Komodo National Park on the international radar.
Previous to working in luxury hospitality, Michele was Managing Director of a luxury tour operator in his home country of Italy for 10 years.
Secana Beachtown – Berawa, Bali

Adrian continued to say, “Secana Beachtown’s positioning within the Bali landscape, is crucial to maximising generated returns for investors and stakeholders, as well as playing to the current market demands and ensuring high value for money for paying guests.”
Michele Meoni has said, “I’m very excited to be joining such a strong project. It’s an honour to be able to continue the hard work and high standards set by Mirah Investment & Development. It’s a challenge that I am very much looking forward to.”
Mirah Investment & Development first announced the Secana Beachtown project in February of 2021, with the groundbreaking ceremony taking place shortly after. The massive-scale construction project covered 1.5 hectares of beachfront land with over 23,000 sqm of buildings.
“The success of Secana Beachtown, as a development project, has propelled the company forward,” Adrian continued. “It’s a strong showcase of our ability to deliver and it has allowed us to continue with many incredible new development projects. It’s [going to be] great to see that success and quality continue over onto the operations,” Adrian added.
Sitting down with General Manager Michele Meoni, and discussing his excitement on the project, he said, “I’ve always been excited about a property that needs to be opened. To be involved in the transformation of a building into a fully operating business is very exciting. You bring together the right people and utilize the correct strategy to ensure all is delivered above the requirements.”
“In the end, my real love comes from the guests; their satisfaction and being able to interact with them. Whether it’s fun or even dealing with complaints or compliments. I am there. When asked which aspects of Secana Beachtown are key to its success, he added, “Secana Beachtown is really a town within a town. You have amazing facilities which make it a full town. This is all within Berawa, which itself is an incredible destination… To maximise the it’s potential, you need to coordinate the synergy between all these moving parts… this is going to be very important.”
“That’s why [Secana Beachtown] is really cool – it is a beachtown within a beachtown… At the end of the day what it comes down to is quality, quality, quality. And of course, customer satisfaction. If you achieve that, the rest will come.”
Secana Beachtown is expected to open in Q1 of 2023.
